JDU Urged GoI for Acceptable and Honorable Naga Political Solution
New Delhi, Oct. 30: In the heat of apprehension mixed with optimism for dawning of new day for the Northeast in general and the Nagas in particular, the biggest National Council Meeting of the Janata Dal (United) held in New Delhi today.
From this meeting, the party issued a communique where it says, “he (the President of JDU and Chief Minister of Bihar) has urged that the talk (Indo-Naga talk) ends peacefully with acceptable and honorable solution.”
The communique further stated that “he hoped that with the fruitful outcome of the talk there will be long lasting peace in Nagaland as well as in Northeast.”
While on the other hand, yesterday, as per Sangai Express, the Manipur state JDU party Chief Mr. Masinam Dorendro stated that an 18 member team of the party has left Imphal today (for the National Council Meeting held today) to pressure the National leaders against any attempt to harm the integrity of Manipur following the Naga peace talks.
