If given a chance and allow us to let the Lotus bloom to form own government in Nagaland.

Y Patton, Nagaland BJP Leader

Kohima, September 16 (This Politics): The BJP President JP Nadda is currently camping in Nagaland as the Nagaland Legislative Assembly election is due early next year. In his visit, during the party meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislative Assembly Party leader Y Patton has shown confidence that BJP Nagaland would perform better if given a chance, and allow them to let the Lotus bloom and form own government in the state. He therefore urged the central party leaders to reconsider on the present seat-sharing formula for the 2023 state general election. Patton said this while addressing the state party Karyakartas at Capital cultural hall Kohima yesterday. He viewed that if they remain with seat sharing of 40:20, it will show that Nagaland BJP legislators and karyakartas have not performed anything within these five years, thus indicating a zero performance. The BLP leader said, it is high time for the party to formed it own Government and assured the National President and central leaders, that the state BJP will do its best for the lotus bloom in Nagaland. Stating that today they have a strength of 12 legislators and if the seat sharing goes at-least to 30:30, Patton assured that with the support of the karyakartas and central leaders, they will bring 25 legislators.

He therefore requested the central leaders to have a second thought on their seat sharing. Meanwhile, National BJP President J P Nadda replying on the party’s seat sharing strategy said it is the decision of the party at the central level and urged the party workers to have faith in national leadership.
