Why Angami Youth Call Bandh on Manipur-bound Vehicles for 72Hrs?
Kohima, March 18 (This Politics): The Southern Angmi Public Organization had earlier called for total bandh with Southern Angami jurisdiction from March 21, 1:00 AM to March 23, 12:00PM. Supporting to this call, the Southern Angami has reiterated further direction related to the bandh.
As per the press release from the Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO), the call for bandh is “in connection to non-withdrawal of Manipur Government armed personnel at Kezoltsa; and continued undertaking of developmental activities by Manipur government in violation to standing agreeement with the Tenyimi Public Organization’s resolution till any final verdict is served…”
It stated that entry and exit of all Manipur bound private or public passengers/goods carrier vehicles/commuters coming from Manipur or plying to Manipur state will be totally restricted during the 72 hours bandh period. However, vehicles on medical emergency, paramilitary vehicles, press/media, students, educational institutions teachers/faculty will be exempted. Thus, the mentioned exempted individuals are advised to produce valid ID proof.
